Haint Country Natural Perfume

Before I describe the perfume, I first need to describe the incense that's also available as there are so many notes in common..

The Incense: Appalachian Mood Moss + Coal from a local abandoned mine I powdered myself. Aged Kentucky Bourbon + Barrel Wood. Roasted Shagbark Hickory. Black Walnuts. An accord I composed evocative of Ripe Pawpaw Fruit, Redbud Flowers and a few drops of That Old Kentucky Rain.

The Perfume: The skin safe version of everything mentioned above + Rhododendron and Goldenrod essential oils.

Inspired by All Things Fantastic and Strange here in Eastern Kentucky. Named for the delightful new book - Haint Country: Dark Folktales from The Hills and Hollers of Eastern Kentucky - available all over the place. The perfume and incense are each beloved by The Fine Folks behind that book, my friends Matthew R. Sparks and Olivia Sizemore.

Shake gently before using. Natural Perfumes do not linger on the skin as synthetic fragrances do, but well-hydrated/moisturized skin helps provide a better foundation for anchoring these beautifully-complex molecules. Keep all natural perfumes somewhere cool and away from sunlight. Care for them as you would a baby vampire.
