Three Card Thursday

Our first card for this week is The Devil. This card reminds us to avoid being constrained by tradition and the norms of society, and instead to follow our own path. As we follow our own path this card also reminds us to avoid that which could imprison or impede us, and to make sure that the guiding force is our own.

Our next card is the Queen of Swords. Here we see a mixture of the elements of water and air; creative emotional energy coupled with intellect and rationalism. Balancing these two forces is important right now, we can examine which one is more dominant and work to increase the other.

Finally, we have the Seven of Wands. This card suggests that we have been fighting hard for something. Even though we are winning, the fight continues to be hard. The overall message of this week’s reading is that the fight is worth it. Continuing to follow our own path was a balance of emotion and reason will lead us to a goal even greater than we can currently imagine.
