Carved Crystal Jade Seahorse

Made of Natural Nephrite Jade, which is one of only two types of genuine Jade. Culturally, True Jade carries deep significance as a Talisman for protection, good fortune, and prosperity.

Seahorses are sacred to Poseidon. God of the ocean, storms, earthquakes and horses. Legend explains that seahorses protect sailors while in the sea. The Ancient Greeks also believed that when sailors drowned, seahorses escorted them between the physical and spiritual worlds. That would ensure no further suffering during the transition.

Most often, we can only see seahorses in calm and quiet waters - another reason sailors value seahorses. Seeing them indicates sailors will have an “easy” day on the high seas.

Each hand-carved Seahorse is just under 2.5" tall.
