Forged Iron Square Nail Scribe Necklace

Let's start with the iron nails, forged by hand. The distinctive “rose” head on this style of nail is achieved by carefully-aimed hammer blows. Four sides of the nail's length. Four sides of the nail's head. Four Seasons. Made with The Four Elements - Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Iron is associated with Mars. Mars is associated with Will Power. There's so, so much more to Iron - energy, protection, luck & prosperity, grounding, cleansing.. 

Though not sharp, the weight helps with carving. If using to carve a candle, first warm the area of the candle to be carved. You can do this by placing the candle in a sunny window with the side to be carved facing out or by waving it over another candle that's lit or by using a heat gun. I used two sizes of copper wire and copper tape to intuitively wrap each.

Each Forged Iron Square Scribe is approximately 3" - 3.5" long. The simple wire wrapping I've added obviously varies and adds to that size. Includes a long length of black deerskin lacing so as to wear or display as a charm when not being used as a charm. The deerskin lacing is dyed and cut by hand, creating variations that add still more beauty. Chosen at random.
